Union Process, Inc., known globally as a manufacturer of particle size reduction and dispersing equipment as well as related services for a broad range of research and industrial applications, has been certified to ISO 9001:2008 with Design.

The quality assurance process was achieved over several months with the culmination coming in April of 2014. The quality management system covers “the design and manufacturing of size reduction equipment, the manufacturing of rubber based ink, and provider of lab and tolling  services for the industrial and commercial markets.”

President Arno Szegvari noted, “We are very pleased to have achieved this milestone for the company. Although we had many quality practices already in place, becoming ISO certified adds third party credibility so that our customers can trust that we are following critical quality practices on a day-to-day basis.”

Brian Li, Union Process Quality Management Representative, spearheaded the initiative; “A Quality Policy ensures efficiency throughout our organization from quoting to production to shipping. We partnered with Innovative Quality Solutions and Smithers Quality Assessments, an accredited quality and environmental management systems certification body, to achieve our certification.

ISO 9001:2008 with Design certification covers all aspects of a company’s activities, from initial contact with the customer through product delivery and on to customer service.

Union Process is the inventor and developer of Attritor technology and manufactures wet and dry grinding mills as well as the DMQX Horizontal Bead Milling System.
